{"surah" : 54, "verses" : [{"a" : 1, "ar" : "ٱقْتَرَبَتِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ وَٱنشَقَّ ٱلْقَمَرُ", "en" : "The Hour has come near, and the moon has split [in two]."}, {"a" : 2, "ar" : "وَإِن يَرَوْا۟ ءَايَةًۭ يُعْرِضُوا۟ وَيَقُولُوا۟ سِحْرٌۭ مُّسْتَمِرٌّۭ", "en" : "And if they see a miracle, they turn away and say, \"Passing magic.\""}, {"a" : 3, "ar" : "وَكَذَّبُوا۟ وَٱتَّبَعُوٓا۟ أَهْوَآءَهُمْ ۚ وَكُلُّ أَمْرٍۢ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ", "en" : "And they denied and followed their inclinations. But for every matter is a [time of] settlement."}, {"a" : 4, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ جَآءَهُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَنۢبَآءِ مَا فِيهِ مُزْدَجَرٌ", "en" : "And there has already come to them of information that in which there is deterrence -"}, {"a" : 5, "ar" : "حِكْمَةٌۢ بَٰلِغَةٌۭ ۖ فَمَا تُغْنِ ٱلنُّذُرُ", "en" : "Extensive wisdom - but warning does not avail [them]."}, {"a" : 6, "ar" : "فَتَوَلَّ عَنْهُمْ ۘ يَوْمَ يَدْعُ ٱلدَّاعِ إِلَىٰ شَىْءٍۢ نُّكُرٍ", "en" : "So leave them, [O Muhammad]. The Day the Caller calls to something forbidding,"}, {"a" : 7, "ar" : "خُشَّعًا أَبْصَٰرُهُمْ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ ٱلْأَجْدَاثِ كَأَنَّهُمْ جَرَادٌۭ مُّنتَشِرٌۭ", "en" : "Their eyes humbled, they will emerge from the graves as if they were locusts spreading,"}, {"a" : 8, "ar" : "مُّهْطِعِينَ إِلَى ٱلدَّاعِ ۖ يَقُولُ ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ هَٰذَا يَوْمٌ عَسِرٌۭ", "en" : "Racing ahead toward the Caller. The disbelievers will say, \"This is a difficult Day.\""}, {"a" : 9, "ar" : "۞ كَذَّبَتْ قَبْلَهُمْ قَوْمُ نُوحٍۢ فَكَذَّبُوا۟ عَبْدَنَا وَقَالُوا۟ مَجْنُونٌۭ وَٱزْدُجِرَ", "en" : "The people of Noah denied before them, and they denied Our servant and said, \"A madman,\" and he was repelled."}, {"a" : 10, "ar" : "فَدَعَا رَبَّهُۥٓ أَنِّى مَغْلُوبٌۭ فَٱنتَصِرْ", "en" : "So he invoked his Lord, \"Indeed, I am overpowered, so help.\""}, {"a" : 11, "ar" : "فَفَتَحْنَآ أَبْوَٰبَ ٱلسَّمَآءِ بِمَآءٍۢ مُّنْهَمِرٍۢ", "en" : "Then We opened the gates of the heaven with rain pouring down"}, {"a" : 12, "ar" : "وَفَجَّرْنَا ٱلْأَرْضَ عُيُونًۭا فَٱلْتَقَى ٱلْمَآءُ عَلَىٰٓ أَمْرٍۢ قَدْ قُدِرَ", "en" : "And caused the earth to burst with springs, and the waters met for a matter already predestined."}, {"a" : 13, "ar" : "وَحَمَلْنَٰهُ عَلَىٰ ذَاتِ أَلْوَٰحٍۢ وَدُسُرٍۢ", "en" : "And We carried him on a [construction of] planks and nails,"}, {"a" : 14, "ar" : "تَجْرِى بِأَعْيُنِنَا جَزَآءًۭ لِّمَن كَانَ كُفِرَ", "en" : "Sailing under Our observation as reward for he who had been denied."}, {"a" : 15, "ar" : "وَلَقَد تَّرَكْنَٰهَآ ءَايَةًۭ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We left it as a sign, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 16, "ar" : "فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "And how [severe] were My punishment and warning."}, {"a" : 17, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 18, "ar" : "كَذَّبَتْ عَادٌۭ فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "'Aad denied; and how [severe] were My punishment and warning."}, {"a" : 19, "ar" : "إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ رِيحًۭا صَرْصَرًۭا فِى يَوْمِ نَحْسٍۢ مُّسْتَمِرٍّۢ", "en" : "Indeed, We sent upon them a screaming wind on a day of continuous misfortune,"}, {"a" : 20, "ar" : "تَنزِعُ ٱلنَّاسَ كَأَنَّهُمْ أَعْجَازُ نَخْلٍۢ مُّنقَعِرٍۢ", "en" : "Extracting the people as if they were trunks of palm trees uprooted."}, {"a" : 21, "ar" : "فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "And how [severe] were My punishment and warning."}, {"a" : 22, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 23, "ar" : "كَذَّبَتْ ثَمُودُ بِٱلنُّذُرِ", "en" : "Thamud denied the warning"}, {"a" : 24, "ar" : "فَقَالُوٓا۟ أَبَشَرًۭا مِّنَّا وَٰحِدًۭا نَّتَّبِعُهُۥٓ إِنَّآ إِذًۭا لَّفِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍ", "en" : "And said, \"Is it one human being among us that we should follow? Indeed, we would then be in error and madness."}, {"a" : 25, "ar" : "أَءُلْقِىَ ٱلذِّكْرُ عَلَيْهِ مِنۢ بَيْنِنَا بَلْ هُوَ كَذَّابٌ أَشِرٌۭ", "en" : "Has the message been sent down upon him from among us? Rather, he is an insolent liar.\""}, {"a" : 26, "ar" : "سَيَعْلَمُونَ غَدًۭا مَّنِ ٱلْكَذَّابُ ٱلْأَشِرُ", "en" : "They will know tomorrow who is the insolent liar."}, {"a" : 27, "ar" : "إِنَّا مُرْسِلُوا۟ ٱلنَّاقَةِ فِتْنَةًۭ لَّهُمْ فَٱرْتَقِبْهُمْ وَٱصْطَبِرْ", "en" : "Indeed, We are sending the she-camel as trial for them, so watch them and be patient."}, {"a" : 28, "ar" : "وَنَبِّئْهُمْ أَنَّ ٱلْمَآءَ قِسْمَةٌۢ بَيْنَهُمْ ۖ كُلُّ شِرْبٍۢ مُّحْتَضَرٌۭ", "en" : "And inform them that the water is shared between them, each [day of] drink attended [by turn]."}, {"a" : 29, "ar" : "فَنَادَوْا۟ صَاحِبَهُمْ فَتَعَاطَىٰ فَعَقَرَ", "en" : "But they called their companion, and he dared and hamstrung [her]."}, {"a" : 30, "ar" : "فَكَيْفَ كَانَ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "And how [severe] were My punishment and warning."}, {"a" : 31, "ar" : "إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ صَيْحَةًۭ وَٰحِدَةًۭ فَكَانُوا۟ كَهَشِيمِ ٱلْمُحْتَظِرِ", "en" : "Indeed, We sent upon them one blast from the sky, and they became like the dry twig fragments of an [animal] pen."}, {"a" : 32, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 33, "ar" : "كَذَّبَتْ قَوْمُ لُوطٍۭ بِٱلنُّذُرِ", "en" : "The people of Lot denied the warning."}, {"a" : 34, "ar" : "إِنَّآ أَرْسَلْنَا عَلَيْهِمْ حَاصِبًا إِلَّآ ءَالَ لُوطٍۢ ۖ نَّجَّيْنَٰهُم بِسَحَرٍۢ", "en" : "Indeed, We sent upon them a storm of stones, except the family of Lot - We saved them before dawn"}, {"a" : 35, "ar" : "نِّعْمَةًۭ مِّنْ عِندِنَا ۚ كَذَٰلِكَ نَجْزِى مَن شَكَرَ", "en" : "As favor from us. Thus do We reward he who is grateful."}, {"a" : 36, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ أَنذَرَهُم بَطْشَتَنَا فَتَمَارَوْا۟ بِٱلنُّذُرِ", "en" : "And he had already warned them of Our assault, but they disputed the warning."}, {"a" : 37, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ رَٰوَدُوهُ عَن ضَيْفِهِۦ فَطَمَسْنَآ أَعْيُنَهُمْ فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "And they had demanded from him his guests, but We obliterated their eyes, [saying], \"Taste My punishment and warning.\""}, {"a" : 38, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ صَبَّحَهُم بُكْرَةً عَذَابٌۭ مُّسْتَقِرٌّۭ", "en" : "And there came upon them by morning an abiding punishment."}, {"a" : 39, "ar" : "فَذُوقُوا۟ عَذَابِى وَنُذُرِ", "en" : "So taste My punishment and warning."}, {"a" : 40, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ يَسَّرْنَا ٱلْقُرْءَانَ لِلذِّكْرِ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We have certainly made the Qur'an easy for remembrance, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 41, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ جَآءَ ءَالَ فِرْعَوْنَ ٱلنُّذُرُ", "en" : "And there certainly came to the people of Pharaoh warning."}, {"a" : 42, "ar" : "كَذَّبُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَٰهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍ", "en" : "They denied Our signs, all of them, so We seized them with a seizure of one Exalted in Might and Perfect in Ability."}, {"a" : 43, "ar" : "أَكُفَّارُكُمْ خَيْرٌۭ مِّنْ أُو۟لَٰٓئِكُمْ أَمْ لَكُم بَرَآءَةٌۭ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ", "en" : "Are your disbelievers better than those [former ones], or have you immunity in the scripture?"}, {"a" : 44, "ar" : "أَمْ يَقُولُونَ نَحْنُ جَمِيعٌۭ مُّنتَصِرٌۭ", "en" : "Or do they say, \"We are an assembly supporting [each other]\"?"}, {"a" : 45, "ar" : "سَيُهْزَمُ ٱلْجَمْعُ وَيُوَلُّونَ ٱلدُّبُرَ", "en" : "[Their] assembly will be defeated, and they will turn their backs [in retreat]."}, {"a" : 46, "ar" : "بَلِ ٱلسَّاعَةُ مَوْعِدُهُمْ وَٱلسَّاعَةُ أَدْهَىٰ وَأَمَرُّ", "en" : "But the Hour is their appointment [for due punishment], and the Hour is more disastrous and more bitter."}, {"a" : 47, "ar" : "إِنَّ ٱلْمُجْرِمِينَ فِى ضَلَٰلٍۢ وَسُعُرٍۢ", "en" : "Indeed, the criminals are in error and madness."}, {"a" : 48, "ar" : "يَوْمَ يُسْحَبُونَ فِى ٱلنَّارِ عَلَىٰ وُجُوهِهِمْ ذُوقُوا۟ مَسَّ سَقَرَ", "en" : "The Day they are dragged into the Fire on their faces [it will be said], \"Taste the touch of Saqar.\""}, {"a" : 49, "ar" : "إِنَّا كُلَّ شَىْءٍ خَلَقْنَٰهُ بِقَدَرٍۢ", "en" : "Indeed, all things We created with predestination."}, {"a" : 50, "ar" : "وَمَآ أَمْرُنَآ إِلَّا وَٰحِدَةٌۭ كَلَمْحٍۭ بِٱلْبَصَرِ", "en" : "And Our command is but one, like a glance of the eye."}, {"a" : 51, "ar" : "وَلَقَدْ أَهْلَكْنَآ أَشْيَاعَكُمْ فَهَلْ مِن مُّدَّكِرٍۢ", "en" : "And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember?"}, {"a" : 52, "ar" : "وَكُلُّ شَىْءٍۢ فَعَلُوهُ فِى ٱلزُّبُرِ", "en" : "And everything they did is in written records."}, {"a" : 53, "ar" : "وَكُلُّ صَغِيرٍۢ وَكَبِيرٍۢ مُّسْتَطَرٌ", "en" : "And every small and great [thing] is inscribed."}, {"a" : 54, "ar" : "إِنَّ ٱلْمُتَّقِينَ فِى جَنَّٰتٍۢ وَنَهَرٍۢ", "en" : "Indeed, the righteous will be among gardens and rivers,"}, {"a" : 55, "ar" : "فِى مَقْعَدِ صِدْقٍ عِندَ مَلِيكٍۢ مُّقْتَدِرٍۭ", "en" : "In a seat of honor near a Sovereign, Perfect in Ability."}]}
