{"surah" : 90, "verses" : [{"a" : 1, "ar" : "لَآ أُقْسِمُ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ", "en" : "I swear by this city, Makkah -"}, {"a" : 2, "ar" : "وَأَنتَ حِلٌّۢ بِهَٰذَا ٱلْبَلَدِ", "en" : "And you, [O Muhammad], are free of restriction in this city -"}, {"a" : 3, "ar" : "وَوَالِدٍۢ وَمَا وَلَدَ", "en" : "And [by] the father and that which was born [of him],"}, {"a" : 4, "ar" : "لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا ٱلْإِنسَٰنَ فِى كَبَدٍ", "en" : "We have certainly created man into hardship."}, {"a" : 5, "ar" : "أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّن يَقْدِرَ عَلَيْهِ أَحَدٌۭ", "en" : "Does he think that never will anyone overcome him?"}, {"a" : 6, "ar" : "يَقُولُ أَهْلَكْتُ مَالًۭا لُّبَدًا", "en" : "He says, \"I have spent wealth in abundance.\""}, {"a" : 7, "ar" : "أَيَحْسَبُ أَن لَّمْ يَرَهُۥٓ أَحَدٌ", "en" : "Does he think that no one has seen him?"}, {"a" : 8, "ar" : "أَلَمْ نَجْعَل لَّهُۥ عَيْنَيْنِ", "en" : "Have We not made for him two eyes?"}, {"a" : 9, "ar" : "وَلِسَانًۭا وَشَفَتَيْنِ", "en" : "And a tongue and two lips?"}, {"a" : 10, "ar" : "وَهَدَيْنَٰهُ ٱلنَّجْدَيْنِ", "en" : "And have shown him the two ways?"}, {"a" : 11, "ar" : "فَلَا ٱقْتَحَمَ ٱلْعَقَبَةَ", "en" : "But he has not broken through the difficult pass."}, {"a" : 12, "ar" : "وَمَآ أَدْرَىٰكَ مَا ٱلْعَقَبَةُ", "en" : "And what can make you know what is [breaking through] the difficult pass?"}, {"a" : 13, "ar" : "فَكُّ رَقَبَةٍ", "en" : "It is the freeing of a slave"}, {"a" : 14, "ar" : "أَوْ إِطْعَٰمٌۭ فِى يَوْمٍۢ ذِى مَسْغَبَةٍۢ", "en" : "Or feeding on a day of severe hunger"}, {"a" : 15, "ar" : "يَتِيمًۭا ذَا مَقْرَبَةٍ", "en" : "An orphan of near relationship"}, {"a" : 16, "ar" : "أَوْ مِسْكِينًۭا ذَا مَتْرَبَةٍۢ", "en" : "Or a needy person in misery"}, {"a" : 17, "ar" : "ثُمَّ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلصَّبْرِ وَتَوَاصَوْا۟ بِٱلْمَرْحَمَةِ", "en" : "And then being among those who believed and advised one another to patience and advised one another to compassion."}, {"a" : 18, "ar" : "أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَيْمَنَةِ", "en" : "Those are the companions of the right."}, {"a" : 19, "ar" : "وَٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَٰتِنَا هُمْ أَصْحَٰبُ ٱلْمَشْـَٔمَةِ", "en" : "But they who disbelieved in Our signs - those are the companions of the left."}, {"a" : 20, "ar" : "عَلَيْهِمْ نَارٌۭ مُّؤْصَدَةٌۢ", "en" : "Over them will be fire closed in."}]}
